process is a set of jumper cables and access to a vehicle with a
fully-charged battery. Follow these steps for how to jump-start your
car:

Park your car in front of the different vehicle, engage the parking
brakes on both vehicles, and turn both vehicles off.

Open both car hoods and locate the batteries. You may need to remove
the protective hood to expose the terminals.

Identify the negative and positive terminals of the battery, and
wipe off any corrosion with a stiff brush.

Connect one of the red clamps to the positive post on the dead
battery.
